Privacy Policy

Habits runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. What you enter stays on your iPhone or iPad.
What Habits stores on your device
Everything Habits needs, it keeps in its own storage area on your iPhone or iPad:
- the habits you create — name, icon, color, and whether the habit is tracked as a simple check, a count or a timer
- the goal and unit you set for each one, such as 8 glasses or 15 minutes
- when you plan to do each habit — the time of day, your own note about when it happens, and a reminder time if you set one
- your history — which habits you completed, counted or timed, and on which day
- your appearance preference — light, dark, or follow the system
This is written to local storage on the device and is not transmitted anywhere. Habits has no server, no database and no account system behind it.
What Habits does not do
- No account. You are never asked for an email address, a phone number, a password, or a sign-in of any kind.
- No servers. Habits does not upload, sync or back up your habits to any service, ours or anyone else’s.
- No analytics or tracking. There are no analytics tools, no advertising identifiers, no device fingerprinting, no third-party crash reporting, and no embedded code that watches how you use the app.
- No advertising. Habits shows no ads and shares nothing with advertisers or data brokers.
- Nothing to sell. Your personal information is never sold or shared, because none of it reaches us in the first place.
- No extra permissions. Habits does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or health data.
Reminders and notifications
If you turn on a reminder for a habit, Habits asks iOS to schedule a local notification at the time you chose. Local notifications are created and delivered by your device. The reminder text and time are never sent to a server or through a push service.
Reminders stay off until you turn one on. You can switch a reminder off inside the habit at any time, or turn off notifications for Habits entirely in Settings → Notifications on your device.
Device backups
If you back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or to a computer, that backup may include Habits’ data, in the same way it includes data from your other apps. Those backups belong to you and are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms — we have no access to them and receive nothing from them.
You can exclude Habits from iCloud backups from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups.
The App Store
Downloading Habits is a transaction between you and Apple, not with us. Apple may collect information about that download and, if you have chosen to share diagnostics with developers, may pass on aggregated statistics and crash reports.
That information arrives already aggregated, is not linked to you by us, and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. You control it in your device’s privacy settings, under Analytics & Improvements.
This website
This site is a plain marketing page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no tracking pixels, social widgets or third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so visiting the page does not announce you to anyone else.
The web host that serves this page keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses and requested URLs, for security and reliability. That is standard for any website and is not used to build a profile of you.
Your data, and your control over it
Because your data never leaves your device, you are the only person who can reach it:
- edit or delete any habit from the habit editor, at any time
- deleting a habit removes it and its history from the device
- deleting the app removes all of its data from the device
Rights such as access, correction, export and erasure — under the GDPR, the CCPA or any similar law — are exercised directly in the app, because we are not holding a copy to act on. There is no request to submit and no account to close.
The other side of that: if you delete the app without a backup, the data is gone, and we cannot recover it for you.
Children
Habits does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 — or the equivalent minimum age where you live. There is no account, no messaging, no advertising, and nothing a user creates is ever shared with anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Should a future version of Habits ever collect or transmit anything — it is not planned — this page will say so plainly, and describe exactly what and why, before that version ships.
